As a single mother of three children, daycare plays a major role in my life! One day I was just sitting back and reflecting on the amount of time I spend with my children vs. the amount of time the daycare shares with them. The daycare clearly spends more time with my children than I do! I began to think of how wonderful their teachers are and how thankful I am to have them. I know that dealing with 10 screeching infants and 10 roaring toddlers must be a challenge, however, I watch the teachers handle it with pure grace. When my baby is scared, his teacher is there to give him that pep talk that will help him overcome his fears at that very moment. My precious 6 month old daughter is able to receive that extra warmth, love, and attention while I can't give it. As I was reflecting on the goodness of their teachers, I became consumed with an overwhelming urge to give. Our teachers are payed their base pay, however I feel that they deserve more!
